James Baldwin Taught Me - Embroidered T-Shirt | Retrosoul__ x The Culture Ref Collab

These shirts were created in collaboration with Retrosoul__ and inspired by writer, playwright and activist James Baldwin. Our collaboration also includes a music playlist inspired by Baldwin and a series of talks streamed live. 

Our limited short sleeve has the phrase "James Baldwin Taught Me. @Retrosoul__" embroidered on the left chest in white and yellow. The shirts themselves have a drop shoulder fit and a washed, vintage inspired look.

In his 1971 dialogue with Nikki Giovanni, JB said, "What you have to do is make it possible for others live. You know, that's the only reason to be here."

In light of the most recent assault on the right to bodily autonomy and reproductive freedom, @retrosoul__ will be donating all of her profits from this collaboration to the NATIONAL NETWORK OF ABORTION FUNDS.

In the spirit of JB, it is her way of making it possible for others to live.
